Day 12--Conference, Market, & Lake Worthersee

I gave my conference paper first thing in the morning.  I had a good crowd which was kind of amazing on the last day of the conference.  The presentation went really well.

I've really come to enjoy Klagenfurt.  It's a very lively, but livable place.  Here is the dragon that is part of the founding myth of the city.  He sits in the middle of the town square.

Right around the corner from our hotel is a market--one that is used by the people of Klagenfurt--hardly any tourists.  Everyone was drinking wine that vendors were selling.  I've never seen a market quite like this.

After the conference we took a three hour boat trip around Lake Worthersee.   The entire lake seems to be a vacation paradise.
